Rehabilitation

This involves teaching the Blind Typing, Reading and Writing in Braille, Mobility and Orientation and Daily Living Skills. Rehabilitation enables the blind to be able to adapt to their environment and to be self-reliant.
Vocational Training

This enables the blind to acquire skills in various arts such as the making of liquid soap, Izal, body cream; Bead work – Table mats, Flower Vases, Trays, Hand bags, Purses, Necklaces, Earrings etc. This aims at empowering the blind to be productive and financially independent as they market their products.

This is for computer literacy so that the blind can keep abreast of global, trends and enhance learning.

Training Report: TY Danjuma Foundation Empowers Hope for The Blind Through Capacity Building
Hope for the blind recently benefited from a capacity-building training generously organised by TY Danjuma Foundation, a well-respected philanthropic and community-focused NGO.
The training, held on the 4th and 5th of August 2025, focused on strengthening the skills and effectiveness of Hope for the blind staff. TY Danjuma Foundation’s support reflects its commitment to empowering organisations that serve society.
The session was interactive, practical, insightful and inspiring, leaving participants better equipped to deliver on Hope for the blind’s mission of social impact. Hope for the blind sincerely appreciates the TY Danjuma Foundation for their generous investment in our growth and look forward to more meaningful collaborations.
HOPE CONFERENCE AND RETREAT CENTRE:
Our Conference Hall and Guest house are still available for personal and group retreats and other Christian programmes. We have standard guest rooms at affordable rates.
GRADUATION:
Our students graduate from various departments at different times of the year.

Annual General Meeting

Starts as an Open Day for HOPE’s Supporters and Staff to interact, and experience the environment. This is followed by our Thanksgiving Service / Annual General Meeting.
Annual National Christian Conference for the Blind
Last Week of August from Wednesday to Sunday
This brings together blind persons from various parts of Nigeria. This Conference is residential. Feeding and accommodation are free at our conferences
INFRASTRUCTURE:
- Renovation of our facilities (the guest house and staff accommodation).
- The building of a new administrative block (General T.Y Danjuma Administrative block).
- The new block of three classrooms for our training programmes (Prof. C. A Kogbe Training Centre)
